What I Can Be to a Man

It’s been a while since I wrote something that is straight from my heart. I have thought of this for quite a while and I believe it’s time to reflect on things that I do not discuss so often with anybody.   Nevertheless, I wrote and rewrote, flicked and browsed through the pages of my memory, hoping I’d come up with something more sensible than “I’m smart and sexy”.


—I can be as loyal as a dog.  I’ll tuck you in when you go to sleep and steal kisses from you while you’re looking away.   I’ll be your bestfriend and lover.


—”The way to a man’s heart is through the stomach”. Sure thing, it is. I may not be a good cook or I may never learn how to cook you your favorite food but I sure will help you put food on the table – be it coming from a paper bag or a zip lock, I’ll make sure we’ll never sleep on empty stomaches.


—Forgive us for our nature of being innate naggers.  It’s our way of compensating our strength against yours.  I am a woman with strong opinions and I do speak my mind.  I sometimes do not regret what I say, I say things straight from my mind.  I’ll sleep on my anger and  we shall wake up with sunshine on our faces and laugh about our past arguments.  I’ll stick with you through thick and thin and I will be on your side while you way your options.


—I’d love to explore the world with you.   We’ll take pictures of us in the beach, with the sunset, with sands on our faces, with the birds in the mountains, with the people we meet along the way.   I’ll hold your hand and I’ll walk with you every step of the way as we explore every corner of the universe.


—Relationships do have ups and downs.  When time comes when you “think” you’ve fallen out of love with me (God forbid),  I’ll tell you every second of the day the things that made me fall in love with you.  I’ll help you remember all the good things we spent together.  And lastly,


—I’ll make sure that I am the best woman in the world and that I guarantee you that we will both grow old together.
